hey guys,

im about to start my training here at the northga campus. i have talked with the dean of students here and explained what parkour is (though she still doesnt understand it fully). i got the OK from her to train on campus, but under conditions. if you know ngcsu, you know about the traditions upheld here. basically: respect campus ground traditions (drill field), respect other administration or security (if they say stop, stop), respect grass (dont tear it up), respect other students, dont sue if you get hurt. all are understandable and no problem.

if anyone is near dahlonega and wants to train with me, you are most welcome to. contact me at kyleclayton7@yahoo.com.

just thought i'd let yall know

Dealing with Cops

I saw an interesting discussion on the board last week that reminded me of one time when I was running and a cop tried to stop me so I bolted. The guy I was running with got pissed and started saying I was giving traceurs a bad name, but honestly Ive been lectured enough times to feel like stopping to be harassed doesnt change peoples minds about Parkour. What do you guys think is the best way to deal with cops and security guards?

Okay so I have had some offers from the athens peeps to come and help lead some the new people at Ga Tech for a day in parkour. I've been generating some interest from the students and I have around 6-8 people that want to give it a shot.

I propose a kick off session starting on one of the following weekends:

9/(11-12)
9/(18-19)

I would love to make this a jam or mini jam and get a bunch of people interested for this. Post questions comments and concerns.

Facebook Event Page: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/event.php?

Brevard Jam

I'm setting up a jam for Brevard County people to meet up and learn and such, since there isn't really much to work with over here so far. The main goal is just to get peeps together to exchange numbers and find others near them, with some light training wherever possible. There's a facebook group below to RSVP on, hope to see lots of new faces!

Also, if you know of any decent spots in Brevard that will accomidate 10-20 people and we won't get kicked out of, let me know. I only know of a couple. We're planning a gym session in the evening, but the afternoon is still wide open.

Facebook event page:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=133382630039794
