Inevitably we will want to discuss the jam, the pictures, the videos, etc etc. So here's the thread!

Let me start off by saying that every jam we make as a community has been better than the last with no exceptions. More friends, more fun, more training - every time. It's so cool to meet up with strangers on the 'net who immediately welcome you as part of the family. Mmm, warm fuzzy feeling... :)

ya, I remember how well I got along with everyone right off the bat at the first jam I ever went to... this one was no exception!
I would like to say that the parkour community we have built here is more than a group of my friends, all of y'all are like my family! this weekend was fantastic and I'm sure it will not be forgotten for a long time!!!!!
can't wait till the next jam!

Here is a video with some shots and interviews already narrated and posted on youtube by the ever-friendly Red and Black: [link]

As my first jam, I thought it was absolutely fantastic. There were a lot of moves being used that I probably would never have even thought of on obstacles that I've become used to. It emphasizes the point that no matter how many times and ways you go over an obstacle, there are still many more ways that have yet to be attempted.

Don't even get me started on the people...it's hard to know where to begin... When you see 40+ people coming to your normal practice area, it's a little bit overwhelming, but everyone was very friendly and it seemed as though they too had been coming to our regular sessions; it unquestioningly got to the point where we weren't 40+ strangers sharing a common ground that is Parkour, but rather, 40+ friends coming together to share and learn a life-long practice that we all dedicate ourselves to.

All-in-all, I think Jams are something I will be looking forward to in the future, particularly the ones outside of Athens so I can experience new territory. Thanks everyone!

The one down side of awesome jams like this is that you're left wishing there was another next week b/c not only did you get to train for a whole weekend but you trained and hung out with a bunch of amazing people.

I thought the jam was great, despite the rain Saturday I think we were able to train practically unphased and we had no serious injuries (I believe).

the rain didn't even dampen our spirits.

It's got me wanting to go out every day, but my muscles disagree. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised.

Awesome jam! It was my first big one since I started with parkour a year ago(how sad is that) I wished I had had time to do a lot of training the month before the jam, I felt very uncomfortable doing a lot of basic vaults and such.

But it was a lot of fun, good workout, and it was nice to meet all of you guys!

Even though I could only stay for the first day, it was great to train and hang out with everyone. I met a lot of new people and recognized some from the original JOTC

Ditto on the rain stuff and the hanging out with cool people. Like Cody said at lunch we need to just hang out after a jam or something. Next time I'll def try to make the 2nd day.

yeah honestly, the best part for me, was walking around for a few hours during the lunch break. I got to meet people a little more and there was less pressure to keep up with everyone doing stuff. I'm sure that would have changed if i had stayed for the rest of the jam, though.

I had a great time, and I am eagerly looking forward to practice tomorrow where I hope to take some new creativity and a different outlook on training and apply that in kind.

There are only two things that could have made the first day better: either have it be pouring or completely dry. Regardless, it was great to see everyone and I only wish that I was a bit more social in meeting others. Ah well, there is always next time.

Hoping I can get my car fixed soon so that I can go to new spots. I think Clemson will be my first stop, and who knows what comes next. Thanks to everyone, because everyone made this possible.

It was a great jam, especially considering it was my first time out doing parkour! Unfortunately I don't think I can make it to the UGA practice session tomorrow since I have a test Wednesday, but I should be there Thursday and every other training session I can be :)

Me and some friends drove down to Athens on Sunday but we didn't see the location changed. It was disappointing that we didnt find you guys but Athens is still a great place to do parkour even w/o a jam. Fun day haha

Chris, did you have anyone's number to call? The weather and very high water levels at the Oconee River prompted us to change our minds on Sunday.

Admittedly we were pretty hard to find on Sunday since we went to side places that were pretty out of the way from normal campus. Hopefully we'll get a chance to train with you all sometime :)
