****************UPDATE***************

JOTC:
Date: Oct 31st & Nov 1st (Halloween Weekend)
Place: Athens, GA (UGA)

Event page

Ok I was talking with Amir and John via telephone the other night. We agreed that the time is due to begin planning a jam for ALL of OVERFLUX and surrounding areas. Wee need to plan this 2-3 months in advance so it does not sneak up on anyone.

The ideas that have been thrown out there:

Athens (eh hem my pick)
Auburn
Clemson (never been there but sounds cool)

Post your thoughts and ideas, we have plently of time to talk about it. I'll keep this thread up with regular updates as well as call more people about it.

I'm up for any of them.
auburn folks know they are always welcome at my place (and we now have two actual beds in the spare room so eric and cody won't have to "spoon" again)

Love for this to be in Athens, love more just to have a big jam.

If it is in Athens the house I'm staying it is open to all. Sleeping places, food, etc.

October? November? If anyone knows dates that are bad for them let's get that out there. I should be free most weekends.

Do people want a one day or two day event? I know there is plenty in Athens to make it a two day event.

On a side note, I'd like to go to both Auburn and Clemson within the next month, so maybe we can talk more in person. Hopefully with the input of all prospective Overflux members we can iron out a date to start working with.

Let's do a two day event... wouldn't be a JOTC otherwise!

Athens sounds good to me too, but so does Auburn. I haven't been to Clemson yet.

NICE!! Personally my vote would be Auburn, but I'm good with wherever as long as I can get a ride.

My vote is for Athens preferably after October as that month is gonna be one of my busiest months.

I say Athens in early November. Don't want to wait too long for it to get freezing out. Definitely make it a two-day event. And let's try and get the BIG details sorted out quick, just to give people ample time to prepare, because I would rather hold the jam earlier rather than closer to 2010.

I also agree with the having the JOTC be a two day event. I definatly want to hit up Athens. I think this goes with out saying but just in case... if it is in Nov. it can't be thanksgiving weekend. Maybe the first or second week of November which would be the 7th-8th or the 14th-15th.

to be continued...

I'd love another JOTC that sounds pretty awesome. I've been training at SEGA and around SPSU, so I'm kinda excited to go to another Jam. I can most likely do Athens in Nov.

ya, there is far to much in athens to hit in one day...
I completely agree with amir about it has to be a two day event otherwise it wouldn't be a JOTC!
I'm still bummed I missed the first one (over two years ago!) so this'll be nice.

I would recommend to open a post for location and time.

I down for anything, but this is my last semester so I'll be pretty busy in the later months, so the sooner we can pick the date the more likely I can plan things out so I can go. The week before thxgiving mostly likely won't work since my semester long senior project is pretty much due when I get back from thxgiving break.

I would obviously not say no to an Auburn Jam. But isn't Athens next on the list? And besides, Auburn is in the process of constructing a large amount of new forms and such that would be great for a jam next time around. And Max if you are hankerin to come to Auburn, then just come and stay over at my house for a night and we can train all you want.

we are very hospitable in athens.
I'll most likely be housing auburn folks, but can probably have up to bout 5 or so at my house. so it rerally depends on how many folks from auburn plan on coming.

Ok Chris, I see how it is.
Who can house the entirety of SC Parkour?

I definitely have room for 2 extra people, more if we start using couches and living room. Can likely swing an additional 2 people for a total of 4.

I live 30 minutes from UGA, but I have 2 extra couches and floorspace if we need it.
