There are joys in this world I will never know... there are simple things people take for granted that I will never get to experience. I have come to terms with what I am and that I'll never live the normal life...

I've worked long and hard to get away from that person. Parkour has saved my life time and time again. It has given me something real, maybe the first real thing I've ever known outside of family.
There's so much talk out there about "what parkour is" but nobody can put a set definition on what parkour truly is... to me parkour is more an emotion, it's the feeling you get when you are out there in the world moving about. it's the passion that dwells in all of us to forge our own paths and not be hindered by others. It is our desire to be free.

All of my experiences, all the evil I've seen, all the good, all the hate, all the anger, all the apathy, all the justice, all the injustice, all the worry and concerns of the world, all the memories that haunt me from my past - none of them matter when I move... it's like they all just vanish and I am me. I am not Chris when I do parkour, I'm a figure simply moving. I am in the void and I am outside the void. I am unfettered and free.

There's a lot to life, and there's even more I'll never get to know... I've been put through too much to let all of that just go away. I see no god, I see no devil. I see the evil of man and the good of nature and for the longest time that's all that there was... I had nothing to believe in, nothing to put myself into so wholly that I felt it in everything I did, I've had no passion, no love...

Parkour gives me something to believe in...
Parkour helps me to forget the hell this world has put me through and allows me to be free and be haunted by those memories...
Parkour has kept me sane and ground this past year... and for the first time since I was four I've felt complete

Sure, I ramble on and on, but I feel that any one of you who might read this will know exactly what it is that I feel.

This is deep! I'm new to parkour and this inspires me to work harder to be great at it, all so i can escape my normal, boring life.
